Meet Our Team
In 2022, in what felt like a divine meeting, Jessica and Alison bumped into each other at a neighborhood Fall Festival. After an immediate energetic connection, a friendship rooted in a passion for women’s health, birth, and mothering small children began. As their connection grew, they began to lean on each other, creating a small community of their own where they felt supported, seen, and heard any hour of the day. Knowing each other’s respective talents and how much their support meant to one another, it clicked to both of them separately that they should come together to create a space where women and families could learn and grow together. The cherry on top occurred in February 2024, when Jessica joined Alison at home for the birth of her daughter, who just so happened to be born on Jessica’s birthday! Together they offer multiple perinatal services in one place for those who wish to have a more holistic pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience.

Doula, Lactation EducatorAfter 15 years as a counselor and music educator, inspired by her two empowering births and frustrated at the countless negative experiences of her friends, Alison decided to walk down the path to become a doula. In March of 2022, she attended the Eat Pray Doula training. After day 1, Alison knew she had made the right choice. Her amazing experience learning from many wise leaders such as Robin Lim and Debra Pascali-Bonaro, paved the way for her new path in life. Over the next couple of years, Alison added a few other titles to her portfolio, including Lactation Educator and Advanced Doula. She is extremely passionate about educating and empowering families to take back this sacred experience and feel confident, empowered, and joyful walking into birth. Alison lives in Durham, North Carolina with her husband and 3 young children.
